The Fault in Our Stars
The main character in the story Hazel has cancer and her parents believe that she depressed because she never goes out side and when she is doing something it usually involves her thinking about dying. Her mother wants her to live her life as a normal teenage girl would, hang out with friends, go to parties, and dates but she has no interest in doing any of these things. However, her mom still decides that she should be doing something productive with her time so she tells her doctor about her concerns and he refers Hazel into a group with other cancer patients, they join every week and do the same thing each time, introduce themselves, tell the stories of living with cancer. Hazel has only one real person that she actually communicates with, even though she wouldn't consider him a real friend outside of that place, Issac. It wasn't until a guy name Augustus Waters shows up that Hazel finally finds someone she feels is worth talking to.
